Oil level in mechanical transmission is checked every 12 months or 25000 km of run.

Carter of a check point in gathering with a distributing box, in картер a distributing box oil is filled in (and merges from картера) separately.

1. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature, stop the engine. Lift the car and establish on supports. Turn away a stopper of a control aperture which is sideways on картере transmissions.
2. If oil begins to flow on a stopper level normal and the further check is not required. Otherwise check up level, cautiously having pushed a finger in a control aperture. Level should be on an aperture bottom edge.
3. If necessary add oil to an aperture bottom edge.
4. Wrap a stopper with the moment 27 Н.м.


Oil level in automatic transmission is checked every 12 months or 25000 km of run. Щуп for check of level of a liquid is in a back part of a motor compartment. Level is checked only on transmission разогретой to normal working temperature (after a trip on highway approximately on 30 km).

In transmission of type BW which are established on cars Rodeo/Passport (with the wheel formula 4х2) 1991 of release and further, it is filled in only трансмиссионная liquid Dexron II.

Щуп automatic transmission on cars of late releases


1. Establish the car on an equal surface. The engine should idle.
2. Get щуп, wipe its pure rags and again insert into place. Get щуп and define level which idling the engine should be between the second риской and риской FULL HOT. If level is checked on cold transmission it should be between the first and second risks.
3. If level is below the second risks (the engine is heated-up) or below the first risks (the engine cold) add трансмиссионную a liquid through a tube for щупа. Constantly check level as liquid transfusion is not supposed in order to avoid an overheat and transmission breakages. It is forbidden to fill in other liquid, than Dexron II ATF.
4. The liquid on щупе should be brightly red colour. If colour has changed (on brown or black), or the liquid exudes a burnt smell it specifies in malfunction of transmission and its overheat.
