Distinctive feature of PCV-system is that on 4-cylinder petrol engines золотниковое the device is absent. Instead of it the regulating throttle which has been built in soaking up collector is applied. Throughput of a throttle depends on degree of opening throttle заслонки. At the big opening throttle заслонки the part of gases is sucked in in the air filter through a back part of a cover газораспределительного the mechanism.

On engines V6 in PCV-system it is applied золотниковое the device. The stream through a zolotnik is defined by depression degree in a soaking up collector. At high depression the stream внутрикартерных gases in a soaking up collector is weakened. In the power setting which is distinct from optimum stream gases перенаправляется through a ventilating tube картера in the air filter, then дожигается in engine cylinders.

At unstable work of the engine idling immediately check up a zolotnik condition.

For this purpose on the working engine get a zolotnik from a cover and put to it a finger. If depression is not felt, hoses are damaged or littered, or the zolotnik or a soaking up collector are polluted. Stop the engine, remove a zolotnik and shake the valve. If there is no characteristic knock a zolotnik replace.

Serviceability of PCV-system should be checked at each change of oil in the engine. Through each 48000 km of run it is necessary to perform all works on service of this system.

The prevention

Operation of the engine without a zolotnik or ventilation system is inadmissible, the engine exit out of operation otherwise is possible.


Check up integrity мембранного the valve, its sticking to a landing surface. Check up deterioration of an oil separator, at detection of signs of a doubtful condition replace.
