THE GENERAL DATA

Check of the generator and its knots

1 – check of isolation of windings статора (not less than 1 Mom)

2 – rectifier check

3 – check of a winding of a rotor (4 Ohm)

GENERATORS OF ENGINES OF EARLY MODELS WITH THE EXTERNAL REGULATOR OF PRESSURE

The scheme of a charge of the battery (for petrol engines of early releases with an external regulator of pressure)

1 – the ignition switch

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the generator from the car.
2. Turn on and get coupling bolts, separate a forward cover.
3. Turn away a nut, remove a pulley and крыльчатку.
4. Uncover also the forward bearing.
5. Remove a back cover and a winding статора.
6. Get brushes and the rectifier.
7. Check up integrity of a winding of a rotor, having measured resistance between contact rings. Resistance should be 4 Ohm.
8. Check up rotor short circuit on the core (resistance should be not less than 1 Mom).
9. Check up integrity of a chain of a winding статора.
10. Measure resistance between windings статора and the core which should be not less than 1 Mom.
11. Check up the rectifier, having measured resistance of diodes in direct (zero) and the return (infinite) directions.

The prevention

On engines V6 generator CS 130 with the built in regulator of pressure is established. Check of serviceability of system of a charge on engines V6 is carried out at the special stand. The generator does not demand maintenance service and to repair is not subject, is replaced as the separate unit.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect on the generator a cable from the battery and connect to a cable a negative conclusion of the ampermeter (or a tester).
2. A positive conclusion of the ampermeter connect to the released (power) conclusion of the generator.
3. Start the engine and finish turns to 1900 rpm. The ampermeter should show a current no more 10А.
4. If the current is more, a pressure regulator replace.
5. Connect a positive conclusion of the voltmeter to a power conclusion of the generator, and a negative conclusion connect to weight. Start the engine and finish turns to 1900 rpm. The voltmeter should show pressure 14,2–14,8 Century
6. If pressure is more than 14,2–14,8 In a pressure regulator replace.
7. If pressure is less, check up the generator and a pressure regulator.
8. Connect to weight conclusion F (an excitation winding) for what enter into an aperture on a cover of the generator the tool or a piece of the bared wire.
9. Start the engine and check up pressure on a power conclusion of the generator.
10. If pressure exceeds norm replace a pressure regulator, if below norm check up the generator.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the generator from the car.
2. Turn on and get through bolts, turn away a nut and remove a pulley.
3. Remove a rotor in gathering, a cover of the case of the bearing and the forward bearing.
4. Remove a forward cover, turn away a nut of fastening of the rectifier.
5. Remove a back cover and a winding статора, turn on and get nuts.
6. Remove крыльчатку, the condenser and the plug of connection with a cable from the battery.
7. Remove the rectifier, щеткодержатели in gathering with brushes and a pressure regulator.
8. Check up integrity of windings and chains.
9. Check up integrity of a winding of a rotor, having measured resistance between contact rings. Resistance should be no more than 2,63 Ohm.
10. Check up rotor short circuit on the core (resistance should be not less than 1 Mom).
11. Check up integrity of a chain of a winding статора.
12. Measure resistance between windings статора and the core which should be not less than 1 Mom.
13. Check up the rectifier, having measured resistance of diodes in direct (zero) and the return (infinite) directions.
