In spare parts radical bearings of the repair sizes 0,025, 0,05, 0,20, 0,25, 0,50 and 0,75 mm are delivered. At installation of new bearings it is necessary to check up backlashes by means of plastic калибровочной a wire. Replacement of radical bearings and check of backlashes without dismantle of the engine from the car is supposed.

Persistent half ring



1. Remove the engine from the car. Establish on the stand or on a workbench. Turn the block of cylinders.
2. Remove the pump of a cooling liquid and a forward cover.
3. Remove a chain (if it is provided) and drive asterisks.
4. Remove the oil pallet.
5. If necessary remove the oil pump.
6. Put numbers of corresponding cylinders on inflow under bolts of covers of rods. Mark covers of rods that at assemblage to establish on former places.
7. Remove covers of rods, dress on bolts pieces of a rubber hose.
8. Накерните a label on covers of radical bearings not to mix at assemblage.
9. Remove covers of radical bearings.
10. Put to risk opposite шпонки a cranked shaft.
11. Fix rods the rubber rings hooked for bolts, the fastenings of the oil pallet screwed in apertures.
12. Together with the assistant cautiously get a cranked shaft from the block of cylinders. In process of removal of a cranked shaft rods will deviate to the engine centre.

Radical bearings demountable, consist of two loose leaves. Condition check consists in external survey and check of backlashes. If the backlash in bearings exceeds norm it is necessary to replace them.

The prevention

The manufacturer in spare parts delivers cranked shaft with repair necks on which figure "9" or marks of light green colour is put. Covers of radical bearings of repair cranked shaft also are supplied by colour marks.

As a rule the bottom loose leaves (except for 1st bearing) are exposed to the greatest deterioration. Therefore, if the bottom loose leaves are in a satisfactory condition (are absent deep furrows or выкрашивание metal) it it is possible to draw a conclusion that the top loose leaves too in a satisfactory condition and on the contrary, at detection of signs of strong damages on the bottom loose leaves both loose leaves are subject to replacement. Both loose leaves vary simultaneously.

Check of backlashes in radical bearings

If the backlash is checked without engine removal the cranked shaft should have two support (from outside a pulley and transmission). In this case the backlash is measured in the top loose leaves. On the removed engine the backlash is measured in the bottom loose leaves.

The prevention

It is forbidden to correct a backlash in radical bearings by подпиливания acting edges of loose leaves or demountable planes of covers and the block of cylinders.

1. Establish a cranked shaft (if the cranked shaft has been removed, the engine is removed from the car). If backlashes are checked without engine removal remove the oil pallet and the oil pump. At first the backlash in the back radical bearing is checked. Uncover the bearing and wipe from oil.
2. Lay a strip калибровочной a wire on a neck for all length of the bearing in parallel an axis of a cranked shaft.
The prevention

Калибровочная the plastic wire is dissolved in oil, therefore in order to avoid false results interfaced details should be cleared of oil carefully.

3. Establish a cover and tighten bolts with the set moment.
4. Uncover the bearing and on width of the crushed wire (which has stuck to a neck) define a backlash.
5. If the width of the crushed wire is non-uniform, it specifies on конусность or non-uniform deterioration of a neck and the loose leaf. In this case it is necessary to measure a neck by a micrometer.
6. If a backlash within norm, the loose leaf in a normal state. To replace loose leaves follows only in case the backlash exceeds the standard.
7. The backlash will be shown to standard if to establish loose leaves of the standard size of 1st (0,025 mm) and 2nd (0,05 mm) dimensional groups.
8. Repeat procedure for other loose leaves. After replacement of all loose leaves check up freedom of rotation of a cranked shaft. At check of bearings of 1st cylinder ослабьте belts of a drive of auxiliary units to exclude non-uniform раздавливание калибровочной a wire (if the backlash is checked without removal of the engine from the car).

Replacement of radical bearings



1. Remove and examine a cranked shaft.
2. Remove radical bearings from beds in the block of cylinders and covers.
3. Oil new bearings for the engine, establish them in the block of cylinders and in covers.
4. Establish a cranked shaft (see more low).



1. Remove covers of radical bearings (it is supposed that the oil pallet, the pump and candles are removed), get loose leaves from covers.
2. Take the top loose leaf of the radical bearing as follows. Insert into the lubricant channel in a radical neck of a cranked shaft шплинт with the bent ends. Turn a cranked shaft clockwise (if to take a detached view a forward part) therefore the loose leaf leaves the block of cylinders.
3. Grease the new top loose leaf with pure oil for the engine and enter that edge of the loose leaf on which there is no groove, between cranked shaft and the block of cylinders. Turn a cranked shaft and establish the loose leaf into place, be convinced that oil apertures have coincided. Get шплинт.
4. Grease the bottom loose leaf and establish in a cover. Correctly сориентируйте also put a cover into place.
5. Tighten bolts of fastening of a cover with the set moment.
The prevention

Before an inhaling of bolts will expose persistent half rings. Repolishing of necks of a cranked shaft is carried out in a car-care centre workshop.

Installation of a cranked shaft

1. The cranked shaft is established after selection of loose leaves and check of backlashes in radical bearings. Grease bearings, establish a cranked shaft and covers of radical bearings.
2. Dip all bolts of covers into oil for the engine and tighten all bolts in the specified sequence except covers with persistent half rings (number of a corresponding cover is specified in tab. the Data of a cranked shaft and rods).
3. Tighten bolts of covers with persistent half rings by hand. Will expose persistent half rings for what some times displace mount a cranked shaft against the stop forward and fix in this position.
4. Establish necessary quantity of persistent half rings. Tighten the remained bolts of a cover with the set moment (1 – a persistent flange of a cranked shaft on the average radical bearing; 2 – wooden колодка).
5. Check up axial люфт a cranked shaft for what displace a cranked shaft back against the stop, and then forward. Люфт it is measured щупом in a forward part of the back radical bearing or on a persistent half ring.
6. Establish a new epiploon in the block of cylinders and in a cover of the radical bearing. Continue engine assemblage upside-down.
