3.3.11. Коромысла and pushers


1. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
2. Turn off counternuts and turn off adjusting screws of valves for minimisation of pressure of springs on коромысла.
3. Since the middle, turn off fixing bolts of an axis коромысел, turning off them on a turn quarter for time to clean pressure of springs of valves with коромысел.
4. After all bolts will be weakened, they can be turned off up to the end; do not remove bolts from basic racks as they are established in cuts on an axis коромысел and support a correct arrangement of all elements of an axis коромысел.
5. Remove an axis коромысел from above heads of the block of cylinders.
6. If it is necessary for you to remove pushers, get them from apertures in a head and store them in a strict order that they could be established on the initial places.
7. Remove various elements from an axis коромысел and store them so that not to mix. Pushers are recommended to be stored, having inserted into a cardboard strip with the numbered apertures.
8. Note correct position of installation of each of elements at its removal to establish them in initial position.
9. For axis dismantling коромысел accurately remove a lock ring from the forward end of an axis; adhere коромысло that it has not come off an axis.
10. Remove various elements from the axis end, keeping them in that order in what they have been established.
11. Note position of installation everyone their elements and its orientation at removal correctly to establish elements further.
12. Leave a lock ring on the back end of an axis not to mix the forward and back ends of an axis.


1. Examine working surfaces коромысел which concern camshaft cams on presence of wear tracks or scratches.
2. Replace worn out коромысла.
3. If the working surface коромысла is strongly scratched, also examine a surface of a corresponding cam on distributive to a shaft on deterioration presence as it is rather probable that both of them will be worn out.
4. Replace worn out elements. The axis коромысел can be disassembled.
5. Examine the ends of adjusting screws (valves regulating a backlash) on presence of wear tracks or damages and replace them if it is necessary.
6. If the axis коромысел understood, examine коромысла and working surfaces of an axis on presence of wear tracks and scratches.
7. If they are worn strongly out, corresponding коромысла and / or an axis коромысел it is necessary to replace.
8. If you have necessary measuring tools, the deterioration size can be defined direct measurements (subsection 3.3.2 see).
9. Check up, that covers have been correctly established on the axis ends коромысел and that lubricant flutes of an axis were pure and have not been littered. Otherwise oil will not arrive to коромыслам that will lead to premature deterioration of elements.
10. Check up all pushers on presence of damages and check up, that they have not been deformed, прокатив them on an equal surface. If any of pushers it is damaged or deformed, it is necessary to replace it.


1. If the axis коромысел understood, put a layer of pure engine oil on an axis.
2. Check up, that the back lock ring has been reliably established in a flute on an axis, then establish on an axis the removed elements, having checked up, that they have been established precisely on the initial places.
3. Pay attention that the axis коромысел is not symmetric; check up, that the axis коромысел has been established so that the big lubricant flute (it is specified by an arrow) was in front.
4. Combine apertures for fixing bolts in basic racks with cuts on an axis коромысел and establish fixing bolts.
5. After all necessary elements will be established on an axis, compress a spring forward коромысла and establish a lock ring, having checked up, that it has been correctly established in the flute.
6. Establish all pushers on the initial places, having checked up, that the bottom end of each of pushers has been correctly established on a regulator.
7. Check up, that backlashes of valves have been correctly adjusted by means of adjusting screws коромысел. Then establish an axis коромысел from above heads of the block of cylinders.
8. Tighten all fixing bolts a hand, then, twisting bolts on a turn quarter for once, gradually tighten all bolts that springs of valves began to press on коромысла.
9. After basic racks of an axis коромысел will concern heads of the block of cylinders, gradually tighten all bolts till the demanded moment of an inhaling.
10. Adjust backlashes of valves, then establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
