5.8.2. Features of system of injection of 6-cylinder engines

On 6-cylinder engines the system of injection with preliminary preparation of the gas mixture, operated from the electronic module (ECM-module) is established. A system Basic element is the dosing out system in which structure enter the case throttle заслонки and an atomizer (one or the several). The quantity of fuel is defined by time of an open condition of an atomizer and set by the ECM-module. The ECM-module traces an engine and car condition and расcчитывает optimum duration of an operating impulse. The quantity of injected fuel changes also taking into account a special condition of the engine (start at usual and low temperatures, dispersal, braking by the engine, etc.).

The ECM-module also provides the control of the fulfilled gases at the expense of maintenance of structure of a benzino-air mix at level 14,7:1. At increase in duration of an operating impulse of an atomizer the mix is enriched, and at reduction – is impoverished. Impulses move in 2 modes – synchronous and asynchronous.

Synchronous mode

In this mode the atomizer opens only at receipt реперного an impulse from the ignition distributor. In systems their opening occurs to two atomizers serially.

Asynchronous mode

In this mode the atomizer opens with the period 12,5 мс, or 6,25 мс, irrespective of реперного an impulse. The injection system passes to an asynchronous mode in following conditions:

  – At very small duration of an impulse on an atomizer (less than 1,5 мс);
  – At giving of pumping up impulses (these impulses submit fuel to a soaking up collector at start-up or before engine start-up);
  – At reenrichment of a mix in the conditions of dispersal;
  – At braking by the engine.

The block of injection of fuel with throttle заслонкой (TBI-block) consists of two basic details – cases with заслонкой, regulating air stream, and the fuel block with the built in regulator of pressure and an atomizer. A TBI-block part are also devices of automatic adjustment of turns of idling and definition of position throttle заслонки.

The atomizer represents the electromagnetic valve. Fuel arrives in the bottom part of an atomizer in which there is the filter of thin clearing surrounding an inlet aperture. Under the influence of an operating impulse the ball valve opens. Fuel is injected in the form of a cone-shaped stream from an aperture in the case, directly over throttle заслонкой. The fuel rest gets to a pressure regulator, and then goes to a tank.

The pressure regulator represents a reducer blocked under the influence of effort from a diaphragm. On one party of a diaphragm pressure of fuel, and on another – pressure in the air filter operates. The regulator is intended for maintenance of constant pressure difference on an atomizer at various speeds of rotation of the engine and loadings.

In the case throttle заслонки apertures which are located before throttle заслонкой or behind it are provided. Depression in these apertures moves on the valve рециркуляции, the gauge of absolute pressure in a collector, in system of a purge of steams of gasoline.

The gauge of an angle of rotation throttle заслонки represents the variable resistor which resistance is defined by position заслонки. The signal of position throttle заслонки is perceived by the ECM-module as реперный. For automatic adjustment of idling the control air valve (IAC-valve) mounted on the case throttle заслонки is used as a signal from the gauge of an angle of rotation throttle заслонки, and. This valve has the conic form and informs a cavity of the air filter with space for throttle заслонкой. The ECM-module traces turns of idling and operates the IAC-valve depending on engine loading, increasing or reducing air stream.
