6.2.7. Definition of malfunction of the back bridge

Define a movement mode when noise is shown more often. It is necessary to distinguish:

1) Noise at dispersals.

2) Noise at car movement накатом.

3) Noise at uniform movement of the car on equal road (on extremely low speed for the given transfer).

Noise from movement on road

Noise at driving on road with a paved or concrete covering can be confused easily with noise from the back bridge. This kind of noise is similar on arising in modes 1) and 2). It is excluded by comparison to noise at driving on road with other covering.

Noise from wheels

Noise from wheels usually accept for noise from the back bridge. The additional error is brought by tyres with a winter protector or non-uniformly worn out tyres. If the tyre temporarily to pump up to 2,5 атм character of noise should change strongly, but also the noise proceeding from the back bridge (which as a rule stop for the speed below 50 km/hour) thus will change.

Noise from the engine and transmission

Define speed on which noise is listened most clearly then stop the car in a quiet place. Start the engine and finish turns to corresponding to speeds of movement on which noise was listened. Noise which proceed from the car, are caused by the engine and transmission.

Noise from forward wheels

Moving with constant speed, slightly press a brake pedal. Thus noise from bearings will decrease a little.

Noise from the back bridge

The exception specified above noise will allow to allocate the noise caused only by the back bridge which are caused only by deterioration of gear wheels of a reducer or bearings. Noise from gear wheels is listened in a narrow range of speeds, and noise from bearings only changes tone at change of speed of movement.
