Details of the main cylinder of brakes of cars

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the indicator of level of a liquid in a nutritious tank.
2. Turn on and disconnect from the cylinder of the union of tubes of a hydrodrive of brakes, keeping tubes an alligator wrench. Do not suppose liquid hit on a body.
3. Turn away bolts and remove the cylinder, having displaced it forward.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down. Tighten bolts of fastening of the cylinder to the vacuum amplifier with the moment 8–14 Н.м., the union of tubes – with the moment 7–13 Н.м.
5. Remove air from a hydrodrive.

Dismantling (all cars)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Merge a liquid from a nutritious tank.
2. Remove a dustproof cover (if it is provided).
3. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a tank, remove a tank and a sealant.
4. Clamp the cylinder in a vice with soft sponges and turn out terminators of pressure of brakes (dosing out valves) if are provided by a design.
5. Press the first piston into the cylinder and turn away a restrictive bolt of the second cylinder, remove a lining. Without weakening effort, get a lock ring.

The prevention

Spring from the piston not to remove.


6. Get from the cylinder pistons.
7. Wash out all details a pure brake liquid and dry compressed air.
8. Measure internal diameter of the cylinder which should be 22,22 mm (except cars Amigo/MU/Jazz). For Amigo/MU/Jazz with the engine of 2,3 l internal diameter of the cylinder should be 23,85 mm, and with the engine of 2,6 l – 25,50 mm. If diameter differs from norm the cylinder in gathering replace. Diameter is measured in three places (And, In and). (1 – нутромер)
9. Measure diameters of pistons. Define a backlash between the piston and the cylinder as a difference of diameters of the cylinder and the piston. The normal backlash should be within 0,025–0,127 mm, limiting – 0,15 mm. If the backlash exceeds norm the cylinder in gathering replace.
10. Check up a condition of an internal surface of the cylinder, presence on it of a rust or mechanical damages. Check up a condition of a surface of pistons. At detection of any signs of deterioration pistons replace.
11. Check up cleanliness of channels of the cylinder, clean their thin wire and blow compressed air.
12. Check up a condition of a nutritious tank, presence on it of cracks and dents, and also a condition of sealants. Check up a condition of cuffs and lock rings, if necessary replace.

Assemblage

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Attentively examine cylinder details, remove alien particles and grease with a pure brake liquid. Grease an internal surface of the cylinder with pure rubber oil.
2. Establish pistons in gathering with springs. Press the piston into the cylinder and establish a lock ring. At assemblage do not damage pistons.
3. Press on the piston and wrap a bolt with a lining by hand. Tighten a bolt with the moment 7–9 Н.м.
4. Wrap dosing out valves (if are provided), tighten with the moment 35 Н.м.
5. Establish a tank, a sealant and wrap the screw.
6. Establish a dustproof cover (if it is provided).
7. Press some times the piston, be convinced of smoothness of a piston stroke. By pressing from apertures in the cylinder the brake liquid should be superseded.
8. Fill in a liquid in a nutritious tank and remove air from the cylinder.
9. Tighten nuts of fastening of the cylinder with the moment 15 Н.м. Remove air from a hydrodrive.
